Deleting/editing job tax lines on journal entries will warn the user before committing. Added functionality to the universal search: searching inventory items, job ID search, and finding customers by phone number. Users will no longer be able to set an item to manufacture if it is not a build item. (having assembly detail). On the receivables form, it used to ask to recalculate the discounts when changing the date. Moved the recalculate discounts to a separate button. Added the ability to split job transfers. Fixed bug where removing the customer add option from a Paradigm user did not disable the add button on the list form. Fixed: ignoring special order items when posting a job transfer was not splitting them off to a separate JT. Added tax functionality for jobs: a default job tax field to the inventory form for whether to apply to tax 1 or 2 for job transfers. These will populate on an order if a job is selected, and if they convert to an invoice instead of a Job Transfer it will switch back to defaults. Made tax labeling changes: can now set the visibility of tax 1 and 2 separately on job transfers. Fixed overflow error when using the pricing level add form and a quantity greater than 32767. Fixed: adding a new job from the list form enters edit mode, but does not disable the edit button, leaving both enabled.

Fixed bug that allowed user to have a disabled option selected. Added Markup standard cost 2 option. Quick add will now remember the last product entered before opening the form, to make transition smoother. Made ALT codes work throughout paradigm (pressing ALT and the underlined letter on a button). Added a universal search/add form accessed by pressing CTRL+1 quickly add quote/order/invoice/customer or search for most transactions. Fixed a bug in the emailer settings checking: it was supposed to confirm settings before creating the email only if using paradigm emailer. Entering comments/bundles in the quick entry will now tab immediately to the description when tabbing.

Closing the user preferences will now not attempt to verify the email settings when using Paradigm emailer. Fixed: Changing the pricing level on an invoice was not updating the prices based on the new pricing level. Changed the text on the security screen for disabling modules: “Paradigm Accounting” changed to just “Paradigm” to avoid confusion. Fixed the Inventory Pricing Sheet form: when changing multiple sales prices at once with the percent add it was not obeying rounding levels. It also was not committing the last line changed manually if the user presses save immediately afterward. Global price update: fixed bug when choosing to update products by category and then switching to “by product ID”, would not populate the second product ID box. Finising out Paradigm emailer functionality: allowing reports with manually entered parameters, multiple reports at once, and attachments added by the user. Also fixed bug where emails without reports would never send. Added a “clear” button to the shipto popup for orders/invoices/purchase order/purchase invoice. Added a check to Job Transfer posting to make sure all the selected taxes are use-taxes. (may need to specify the non-taxable codes as use taxes now.) Converting an order to a job transfer will now give the user a warning that freight/other will not be carried over. (if they are not equal to zero.) Fixed: deleting a check was failing if it had no vendor ID.

It will display in the customer PO field since a receivable does not have a PO #). Converting orders to Job transfers will now remove any “freight” or “other” amounts. Fixed an issue where scanning into a purchase invoice was not always adding the correct quantities.

Fixed: The “Save Salesprice” field for the inventory assembly subform was not updating pricing levels. Fixed: Changing cost or salesprice on the inventory form was incorrectly updating pricing levels since 9.257. Fixed: Bank Rec screen was not working for credit card reconciliation. Fixed Purchase Order total rounding to be the same as the other forms. Fixed issue where splitting builds was updating prices on the new build even though it had a set price. Fixed pricing levels to obey pricing levels for the overall product as well, rather than just the build detail. Added a feature for auto-calculating tax on a journal entry line for a job. (very specific use case) Added .ini settings to skip credit card processing, reciept printing, and signature capture individually, for users that don’t have the hardware. Fixed: zero value Purchase Invoices were not getting marked paid when posted, but would get marked paid when unposted. fixed: splitting a build from production was not carrying over the department ID to the new detail line. Added support for TLS 1.2 to CC Process. Made a change to the reporting code to fix a memory leak that led to Paradigm crashing rather often. Made job final posting group better.

Quick Entry now handles kits. Fixed a bug with opening the invoice form with another invoice open. Fixed a bug with the invoice form where focus was not always set to the correct field when tabbing through the fields and committing lines. Changed the functionality for items set as Assembly = No, Assembly Type = General Assembly, and items in the assembly. These items will now be priced off of the header item, but will remove stock from the detail items when they are sold.

Added a company preference about whether or not to remove the Customer PO when adding an order to an existing invoice. Fixed an issue where the invoice form could get opened without any detail lines showing. Fixed an issue in the PO form where editing a description was always opening the description editing popup. Made the sales tax screen more user friendly. Also enabled enables selecting a sales tax from the screen to be added to the open form.

Also, both the cost and sales price will be updated if the pricing type on the item is ‘None.’ Added the option to remove the model option field from Production. Adjusted the way the date ranges work in when closing GL periods. Fixed a bug with the emailer that was keeping attachments from sending. (only an issue since 9.256)
9.258 Posted on January 29, 2018April 17, 2018 by Derek Martin Fixed an issue where $0 invoices were not always being marked as paid when they were posted. Fixed a bug where updating Linear Measurement 1 or Linear Measurement 2 was not updating the sales price. Job punches will now be added to the job’s labor totals in the timesheet automatically when the paycheck for those puches is posted.

Added an error message to 1099 form if there is no state tax ID in Company Setup. Added a company preference to be able to turn off margin totals in quotes, orders, and invoices (which were added in the previous build.)
